"Intense" Typographic Word Collages
Project Description: The goal of this project was to imply the meaning of a word without directly spelling it out. I was assigned the word "intense" through a random draw. One concept included a small photo and mixed up letterforms while the other concept included letterforms only. The version with a photograph portrays a feeling of intensity from distress due to an overwhelming amount of stimuli. The letterform only version is meant to portray the intensity of a loud environment, which is created through multiple letterforms of various sizes overlapping and interrupting each other. The final 3 concepts are alternate compositions that I felt would be helpful in showing my process.
